F1 Mexico City 2026:
The Race, and the House You Come Back To
F1 Mexico City 2026 runs from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Three days of engines, altitude and one of the loudest grandstands on the calendar. This guide covers what you need to plan the weekend. It also covers what most guides leave out: How you get there, how you get back, and where you return to when the last car crosses the line.
The Weekend at a Glance
Friday brings two practice sessions. Saturday brings the final practice and qualifying. Sunday 1 November is the race: 71 laps, no sprint this year.
Sergio Pérez is back on the grid, now with Cadillac. The home crowd will be louder for it.
The circuit sits at 2,240 metres. The air is thin for the cars, and for you. Drink water. Go easy on the first night's mezcal. Check final session times on the official Formula 1 site before you go.

Getting There, and Getting Back
The circuit is in Iztacalco, on the east side of the city. On race weekend the roads around it close early and stay closed. When the race ends, tens of thousands of people leave at once, all asking for the same car.
Colima 71 offers another way. You can travel to the circuit with a member of our team, a service booked separately. They go with you from Colima Street to the gate of the Autódromo by Metro, the city's subway, past the traffic. When the day is over, the same person meets you at an agreed point by the gate and brings you back.
No apps, no surge prices, no searching for a driver in the crowd. Race day starts with the logistics already solved.
Race Weekend Is Also Día de Muertos
By race day the altars are already standing. Marigolds fill the markets, the Zócalo and the cemeteries. Families have set out bread, candles, photographs and the food their dead once loved. On 1 and 2 November, the city keeps vigil.
Most visitors come for one or the other. This year you can have both. Stay until 3 November and the two most important days of the tradition are part of your trip. Our Day of the Dead guide maps four days around them.
You can also bring the tradition inside. As an additional service, our team can prepare an altar in your studio before you arrive. Send us a photograph of someone you miss, a person or a pet, and they will have a place on it. How the altar works →

Coming Back to Colima Street
After a day at the track you are carrying dust, sun and noise. Then you are back on Colima Street.
Colima 71 has sixteen studios in a building that was once a school, reworked by Alberto Kalach. While you were out, housekeeping came through twice: The morning clean, then the evening turndown, with something left for you to find. The studios run from 430 to 646 sq ft. In the studios with terraces, a swing woven in Yucatán waits outside.
Dinner is a short walk in any direction. In the morning, breakfast is brought up to your studio, with bread from Rosetta, without queuing.
One more car before you leave: A Tesla Model 3 crushed under a carved Olmec head. It is Neo Tamemes, by Chavis Mármol, and it lives in the house.
Practical Notes
- Book early. This is one of the busiest weekends of the year in Mexico City.
- Bring a layer. Evenings at the circuit turn cold.
- Pack ear protection, sunscreen and a hat.
- The round trip to the circuit requires a separate booking. Race tickets are not included.
Stay for the Race
Stay at Colima 71 during Formula 1 week, and add the round trip to the Autódromo when you book.
See you in Mexico City.
